Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A man escaped from his burning home in Duluth, Thursday evening without injury. When fire crews arrived to a single family home at 1025 W. 2nd street around 6 p.m. the fire had consumed the main floor and was spreading to the second floor. The man home at the time of the fire escaped and reported the fire to a neighbor. Firefighters contained the blaze and extinguished it quickly. Extensive overhaul was necessary due to the quantity of contents. Red Cross is assisting the man. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire crews responded from downtown, Lincoln Park and Spirit Valley.
