Man Hospitalized After Falling From Deer Stand

White Township, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- After falling from a deer stand, a Ham Lake Minn., man is in critical condition.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says 55-year-old David Martti, fell about eight feet from his deer stand while making preparations for the upcoming deer season.

A friend called 911 and Martti was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.

The stand is about 10 miles southeast of Aurora in White Township.

The accident happened Saturday around 12:45 p.m.

The Hoyt Lakes Fire and Ambulance, Palo Fire Department as well as the Life Link Helicopter responded to the accident.
