Andover, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A man was allegedly burned alive by his roommate/landlord in Andover, MN.

55–year–old Scott Yorek, who is believed to have been set on fire by his roommate and landlord, 29–year–old Adam Lilienthal, died shortly early this morning at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Eighty percent of Yorek's body was burned. The two Andover men were arguing over rent payments, when the landlord reportedly intentionally set Yorek on fire at his house Tuesday evening.

Police were called to 1329 137th LN NW, around 10 p.m. for a house fire. When they got there they found a severely burned man inside the home.

"The victim had allegedly been doused with an accelerant and purposely set on fire by his roommate/landlord. The suspect was seen fleeing the residence at a high rate of speed," the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said.

The landlord was arrested by St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputies near Orr, MN, where he was believed to be heading to a cabin. Lilienthal is currently in custody in the Anoka County jail awaiting charges.

The suspect, who suffered minor burns to his face, has a significant criminal history of assault, theft and drug convictions.
