Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A march in Duluth Saturday is helping give more babies in the Northland a healthy start to life.
The DECC in Duluth played host to the March of Dimes annual March for Babies.
Hundreds of families and business leaders joined together in the nation's oldest walk–fundraiser honoring babies born healthy, and those who need help to survive and thrive.
Last year, more than 600 people attended the event — which raised nearly $88,000.
The money raised at the fundraiser supports programs in the Northland that help moms have healthy, full–term pregnancies.
Other funds from the event go towards research to find answers to the problems that threaten our nation's babies.
