Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Members of Governor Dayton's Mayors Tax Reform Advisory Group on Local Government Aid will hold a press conference Tuesday to support Dayton's budget proposal to invest $80 million in Local Government aid.

The group consists of Co-chair and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, Duluth Mayor Don Ness, Revenue Commissioner Miron Frans, and other mayors and local officials from around the state.

The group will also discuss a proposed change to the LGA formula designed by mayors and leaders from cities around the state.

The proposed changes will provide a more stable, adequate funding for local governments and demonstrate the importance of a strong state and local partnership.

The meeting will take place at 1:30 on Tuesday, April 9 and will be in the Duluth Public Library on the second floor.
