Chisholm, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The city of Chisholm now owns a part of sporting and Rock and Roll history.

300 seats from the soon to be demolished Metrodome have made their way to the Iron Range City, thanks to a grant from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board.

Mayor Mike Jugavich says the seats will be installed at Joe Maturi Field.
Right now, seating is a mix of wooden and aluminum benches.

The city is in the process of looking for a contractor to install the seats, which cost $12,000 dollars.

Mayor Jugavich says they are pretty excited to have a piece of the dome, which hosted not only a World Series, but the iconic band, The Rolling Stones.
