St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A bill that would raise Minnesota's minimum wage is making its way through the legislature.
The House Labor, Workforce and Regulated Industries Committee gave the green light to increasing the minimum wage to $10.55.
The bill would raise the minimum wage in three steps through 2015.
Some small business owners fear it would hurt their bottom line and, in some cases, would result in layoffs.
Minnesota hasn't raised the wage since 2005.
