Minnesota Power Warns of Telephone Scam

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -That phone call from the power company may not be what you think.

Minnesota Power is warning customers to be aware of a telephone scam.

The caller poses as a power company employee asking the home or business owner to make a wire or cash payment or their power will be disconnected that same day.

Officials ask you disregard these calls, hang up and call Minnesota Power at 800-228-4966 to report this illegal activity or with questions or concerns you may have.
