Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority is responding after claims the new Vikings stadium could kill thousands of migratory birds.

The Audobon Society is urging the stadium's builders to create a stadium with bird safe glass.

Stadium officials say the new stadium design and budget were completed prior to conversations with the Audubon Society and don't have the million dollars needed to make changes.

They add they've met with the society to look at all options for design and operational solutions to minimize bird collisions.
