DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - With Duluth municipal elections on the horizon, a new survey shows more people are satisfied with the performance of the current city council and mayor than in the past.

The National Citizen Survey shows the approval rating of Mayor Don Ness's job performance has gone up from 78 percent in 2009 to 86 percent this year.

It's the same story with city council, up ten percent over last year at 68 percent.

At the same time 75 percent of Duluth residents said they are likely to stay in Duluth for the next five years, which is down three percent from 2009.

Mayor Don Ness and four city councilors have said they are re-running for their seats.
