St. Paul (NNCNOW.com) - Minnesota's troubled new health exchange program is facing more issues.
About 16,000 Minnesotans who applied for Medical Assistance through MNSure are still without health insurance, according to the Star Tribune.
State Officials told the paper letters notifying consumers of problems with their applications were never sent out.
The Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Services blames a lack of having project management in place and calls it a serious error.
Application issues included verification of various things such as income.
Letters to help correct the issue are expected to go out by the middle of the month.
