MT. IRON, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) Mountain Iron City Councilor Ed Roskoski was in court in Virginia Wednesday fighting two criminal misdemeanor charges related to a dog fight.
The 67-year-old Roskoski, is facing charges of public nuisance and disorderly conduct, which could result in up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.
The charges stem from an alleged dog fight in March of 2011.
Roskoski was ticketed in May after witnesses said he commanded a German Shepard owned by the Roskoski family to attack another person's dog in a wooded area in Mountain Iron.
This isn't the first time the city councilor has faced criminal charges.
Roskoski has been convicted of trespassing twice on P & H Mine Pro property in 2009 and 2007.
