Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A bomb threat forced the evacuation of the CVS Pharmacy Wednesday on Tower Avenue in Superior, Wis. Police were called to the pharmacy at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

After an extensive search, no explosive or other dangerous devices were found. CVS re–opened a short time later.

This is just one in a string of bomb threats aimed at the chain. CVS Pharmacies have recently been the victim of a nation–wide bomb threat hoax in an attempt to extort money from the corporation.

The threat received by the Superior pharmacy was similar to those received by others across the country.

The Superior Police Department is encouraging any persons with knowledge of this or similar incidents to contact the authorities immediately.
