Natural Gas Utility Project begins in Duluth

June 10, 2014 Updated Jun 10, 2014 at 5:34 PM CST

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The left lane of 3rd St. between 1st Ave. E and Mesaba Ave. will be closed all week to allow for a Natural Gas Utility Project; however, the right lane of the one–way street will remain open.

Although a few parking spots on the parking lane will be temporarily closed, the parking lane will be open. This project is the replacement of five blocks of an old 8" natural gas main. This project will continue until September.

Duluth officials would like to inform the public that as the pipe is installed along 3rd St. under the Lake, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Avenue intersections, motorists/pedestrians should expect detours.
The detours will send traffic to 4th Ave. W or 1st Ave. E.

For more information fell free to contact the Project Engineer at (218) 730–5092.
