Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Nettleton Elementary students finished their last day of school with a bang.
It's an annual tradition.
Staff and students gather in a circle and dance to the beat of drums and musical instruments as students leave for the summer.
The principal of Nettleton says she's proud of her student's academic success this year.
She says the bullying campaign, which included stop bullying signs and t-shirts has helped to reduce discipline referrals.
"This is our way of showing our kids how much we cared about them this year,” Principal Stephanie Heilig said. “It shows how respectful we are of them and that we wish them well over the summer."
This fall, students and staff will be moved to the newly renovated Myers-Wilkins Elementary School.
