Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Wearing white after Labor Day may or may not be a fashion faux pas, but if you are a follower of such trends, you may want to check out a new mobile store hitting the streets of Duluth.

"Come on in. This is Fig Leafs fashion mobile," said Laura Goewey, owner of the fashion mobile.

Only 2 fashion mobiles exist in the entire state of Minnesota, and one of them is from Duluth.

"I can do fundraisers, corporate events, conventions, girlfriend parties I love to do," said Goewey.

Goewey has owned 2 brick and mortar stores in Canal Park for the past 13 years.

However, she wanted to expand her business.

"It's been great. The exposure has been awesome. This is a rolling billboard," she said.

She first got the idea to start a fashion truck last fall and began selling clothing out of the truck only 2 months ago.

"I wanted to think outside of the box," said Goewey.

The trucks graphic designer says that she wanted a whimsical, light hearted, girly feel to the logo to attract women to the mobile store.

"Yellow was a color that we wanted and we needed a pop," said Teri Glembin, the graphic designer for the truck.

Although most of the clothing in the truck is bright and colorful, Laura Goewey does say that it's okay to wear white after labor day.

"You can take a beautiful pair of white jeans and pair it with a big gnarly sweater. That gives you the fall look... throw on a scarf," said Goewey.

"It's more the fabrics, than the color at this point," said Glembin.

"You don't want to wear light weight white material, sheer fabric... you want to go with a heavier look," said Goewey.

Goewey says that ultimately, what she loves the most about having the fashion truck is the customers that she meets.

You can find the fashion mobile parked outside of Caribou Coffee in Canal Park every Monday from about 7:30 to 10:30 AM.
