New street parking payment trial to come February

January 25, 2014 Updated Jan 25, 2014 at 3:16 PM CDT

As part of Duluth's multi-year strategic parking plan, Superior Street between 3rd Ave. W and 4th Ave. West will forego traditional parking meter payments and instead utilize automated pay stations that accept more varying payment options.

The meters will be replaced with parking space number signs and pay stations for at least four months.

Parkers will be able to pay at any of three pay stations. Two stations will be on the upper part of the block and one will be on the lower end.

Parking ambassadors will be on site for any questions during the first weeks of the trial.
