Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The AAR facility in Duluth continues to grow, and now a new partnership with Lake Superior College will provide eligible applicants with training jobs as support technicians for aircraft maintenance.

Thursday's grant signing ceremony at AAR formalized the new training partnership.

A year ago, the AAR facility in Duluth was operating with 25 employees, and now there are nearly 300.

This increased demand for service calls for expansion within the company, come September, requiring additional support technicians.

The Minnesota Job Skills partnership will include a 60 hour Aircraft Maintenance Support Training Program for qualified applicants through LSC.

"The 50 people that are going to go through this course over the next, probably year or fifteen months or whatever that's going to be, we'll be able to put them to work right when they come out. We'll constantly have more positions open up," said Mark Ketterer of AAR.

Training will be for entry level jobs to licensed technician positions.
