Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Local musicians and performance artists also gathered at the Teatro Zuccone in downtown Duluth Sunday for the Family Concert Series.

The goal of the performances was to create a passion for music and performing arts among children and adults.

Proceeds supported art and music in the Duluth School District.

One of the requirements for the artists was to make their performance "kid–friendly", but artists welcomed that challenge.

"Kids have less inhibitions," laughed Red Mountain piano player Anton Jimenez-Kloeckl, "so they're more willing to just enjoy the show."

There were also local artists available to talk to if kids were interested in joining music groups.

If there is enough interest, the event will be held again in September.
