August 20, 2014 Updated Aug 20, 2014 at 11:51 AM CDT

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A no water contact advisory has been lifted for the Lakewalk East/16th Avenue East Beach and the Grand Marais Campground Beach. The beaches fecal bacteria levels have returned to acceptable levels.

However, 'no water contact' advisories remain in place for Leif Erikson Park Beach and Sky Harbor Parking Lot Beach, due to elevated e–coli contamination.

If anyone becomes ill after contact with beach water, contact the Minnesota Department of Health at 1–877–366–3455.
