Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) There's an artist inside all of us, and a family friendly event in Duluth's Lester Park Sunday was determined to prove it.

For the sixth year, Duluth and Beyond and the Anchor Point Church have partnered to offer the "Art in Me" day–long event to Northlanders.

Over a dozen booths were set up throughout the art–inspiring Lester Park where children could create van Gogh's of their own... or dabble in charcoal drawing, printmaking, and origami, to name a few options.

Art in Me volunteer Brandon Hall says the main goal for the organizations involved is to make sure people leave feeling loved.

"And so we hope that people come in for a great experience, and leave feeling really loved," said Hall, "and I think you see that when you see people come running in with great anticipation, and then leaving with just huge smiles on their faces—both parents and kids."

Organizers say last year the event hosted well over 1,500 community members.
