Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) —– Students at Denfeld High School heard strong warnings Wednesday about the dangers of heroin and meth use.
The "CLIMB" theatre is presenting plays and classes at area Northland schools, funded through a Northland Foundation grant. The effort is designed to curb the region's growing heroin problem.
"The message that we want to share, and I hope that students get out of this assembly, is that to make good choices, because those choices will impact their lives for a long time to come", said Denfeld Principal, Tonya Sconiers.
By teaming up with the Twin–cities based "CLIMB theatre", schools hope to turn students away from drug use.
CLIMB theatre will wrap up its presentations today in Cloquet and Fond du Lac Ojibwe school.
