Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Some call it miserable, others amazing.
People in the Twin Ports are trying to beat the heat as much of the Northland is under a heat advisory.
For many Park Point beach in Duluth was the place to be on what's easily the hottest day of the year, so far.
The temperature reached a sweltering 91 degrees at the Harbor late Monday.
Some sought relief in Lake Superior, where the water temperature is a cool 59 degrees.
One Duluth native, now living in Maryland, was surprised by Thursday's weather.
"It's not what we were expecting. We arrived here Sunday. It was cool. We had to put on fleece jackets and we woke up this morning and it was so hot."
