Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The "Meatless Monday" movement is coming on quickly, and on Thursday Northlanders learned more about the craze.
The Duluth Public Library's program with a health activist teaches people in the Northland how to incorporate one day of a plant-based diet into their weekly routine.
Health experts say it's not only important for people, but also for the environment.
They say you will likely notice many positive effects rather quickly.
"You might feel clearer, by that I mean maybe more alert, you might notice a difference in your skin, you might start to lose weight," said health activist Bonnie Ambrosi.
Samples of vegan foods and meal plans were also provided.
