One Dead In Semi-Truck Rollover In Proctor

Proctor, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- One person is dead after a semi–truck rolled over onto its side and landed on another vehicle in Proctor.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of the semi–truck, a 47 year old Duluth man, was traveling west bound on Highway 2...when the truck somehow rolled over onto its side...and landed on a small passenger car.

Authorities blocked off several blocks as they began to help the parties involved and eventually get the semi–truck back upright.

The semi–truck driver sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the passenger car was killed in the crash.

The victim's name is expected to be released Monday, pending notification of family.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
