Cook, MN (NNCNOW.COM) -- A 36-year-old man has been displaced after a fire completely damaged his home. Authorities responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street NW in Cook Tuesday morning. The man was not home at the time of the fire and had returned to his home to find his residence engulfed by fire. No injuries were reported, but authorities did say two dogs were in the residence and are believed to have perished. The residence was deemed a total loss and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. An investigation is pending. Authorities say the fire did not appear to be suspicious in nature. Responding agencies include Cook, Orr and the Saint Louis County Sheriff's department.
