St. Louis County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Around 8:30 Thursday morning the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a vehicle rollover which left one person with serious injuries.

The car, eastbound on Highway 169 near Tower, Minnesota, veered off the roadway hitting the ditch and rolling over. It then burst into flames with 44-year-old Carlo Theisen of Hibbing, Minnesota trapped inside.

A man and his two sons saw the burning vehicle and rushed to the scene where they were able to pull Theisen to safety. He suffered some serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
