-- The Anoka woman, bitten by an otter 25 times last week in Island Lake, will be diving back in, this Sunday. Leah Prudhomme is still recovering from the bites, receiving rabies shots while her wounds heal.
She is determined to participate in the Buzz Ryan Sprint Triathlon, Sunday, on Island Lake; she says the angry otter won't prevent her from pursuing her passion.
Organizers of the triathlon say the attack is creating quite the buzz on Island Lake.
"The shock and the etherealness of the otter attack is sad while she was hurt, there is actually kind of a tongue and cheek vibe through-out the triathlon community, I've must have gotten 100 emails." said Rob Raymond who is organizing the event.
Prudhomme went for her first run today since the attack. She says she is sore, but is ready for this Sunday.
