Outgoing top MN officials recognized during State of the State

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Governor Mark Dayton took took a moment during his State of the State address Wednesday to recognize outgoing Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon.

The Duluth native helped pioneer nationwide energy legislation and launched the senior linkage line.

Prettner Solon also served as Duluth City Councilor and State Senator.

This is her last term serving as second in command.

The Governor also recognized outgoing Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.

Both received standing ovations from lawmakers and guests in the House chamber.
