Duluth, MN (NNC NOW) - Children with special needs and their families were invited to a special photo session with "Caring Santa" at the Miller Hill Mall.
The photo op featured a unique environment that supports the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of kids with disabilities.
According to officials, Santa is a universal symbol of caring and love, and everyone should be a part of it.
"To provide an environment that's controlled—where kids can come [and] there's not a lot of music or crowds—is really important, not only to the children, but to the parents so they can capture that memory themselves," said Machelle Kendrick, of the Miller Hill Mall.
Meanwhile, The Bentleyville Tour of lights will have a sign language interpreter with Santa Claus on December 12th from 5–7 p.m.
