Cornucopia, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Despite temperatures in the 30s near Cornucopia, Wisconsin Sunday, winter must now officially be over.

At least, that's what the Apostle Islands National Park Service is saying.

These photos taken today by Sea Caves Watch show, clearly, that the once breathtaking sea caves are all but gone for the season.

That is, at least the ice floor that gave tens of thousands of visitors access to the caves is broken apart.

Meyers Road has been reopened, and the safety closure is now over.

Tourism leaders say the ice caves helped boost the region's economy by 10 to 12 million dollars.
