Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man suffered a stab wound in a physical altercation with a woman yesterday morning.
In the middle of August Duluth police were called to the 1200 block of E 5th St. When they got there, they found 23-year-old Jessica Michelle Esquival and a 24-year-old man.
Police say the man was uncooperative and began fighting with them while he was being given first aid for a stab wound to the stomach.
He had to be restrained before he was taken to the hospital for his non-life threatening injury.
Investigators executed a search warrant for the house and found a knife which they believe was used in the assault.
Esquival was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault and 5th Degree Domestic Assault.
Esquival failed to appear at her Sept. 3 omnibus hearing, so a warrant was issued for her arrest that day.
Once she is caught by police, or turns herself in, she will be brought to jail and a new hearing will be set for her.
