Police Respond to Shots Fired Report at Target Headquarters

-- Police are responding to a report of shots fired at Target Headquarters in downtown Minneapolis.

According to our partners at KARE 11, Police spokesman Sergeant Steve McCarty says the shots came from 50 South 10th Street at 11:10 a.m.

Police will not confirm there is an active shooter on the loose.

According to KARE 11's report, armed officers and K-9 teams are searching for an armed person. No such person has been located yet.

The police spokesperson told reporters there is no evidence that a shooting has occurred yet.

The Northland's NewsCenter has reached out to employees at Target Headquarters. Some say they have barricaded themselves in their offices after the shots rang out.
