Police: 19-Year-Old Hospitalized Following Attempted Robbery

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A developing situation after police cars flooded Duluth's Woodland neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

Duluth Police responded to the 2000 block of E. 4th Street.

In a news release late Tuesday, Police said a 19-year-old man had claimed he had been assaulted. He sustained non-life threatening injuries from a cut to the face.

The 19-year-old told police the incident stemmed from an attempted robbery.

He was taken to Essentia Health - St. Mary's.

No one is in custody at this time.

Neighbors also say police informed them the incident was not a random occurrence and all persons involved knew each other.

This is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
