Update: Downtown Power Outage Cause Determined

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A power outage that left about 5,400 Minnesota Power customers in the Dark Thursday was due to an issue with an underground cable near the Lennox apartments, company officials said.

At the height of the outage, 5,431 Duluth residents from Enger Park to Congdon were without power.

According to Minnesota Power officials, power was restored to the majority of customers.

KBJR 6, KDLH 3, CW and My9 were down for a few minutes due to the outage, however power to our transmitters have been restored.
