Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After the names of 17 priests credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor in the Diocese of Duluth were released, we are hearing reactions from those who say they've personally suffered abuse by priests.

Verne Wagner, the northern Minnesota director of the group 'Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests,' who has been sexually abused himself, says that he hopes the Diocese will also release photos of these clerics along with their names and history.

He says by identifying these offenders, the Northland region will become much safer.

"I am a victim. I was victim of Father John Nicholson up in Proctor, MN. And if we would have known in Proctor that Father Nicholson was predator, that he molested children in the past... my little town of Proctor would never have allowed him to come in and abuse more children," said Wagner.

He says that kids are safer every time a single child molester is identified.
