RV is toast after engulfed in fire

June 30, 2014 Updated Jun 30, 2014 at 7:17 PM CST

Proctor, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- There were some tense moments tonight on the corner of Midway Road and Old Highway 61 in Proctor, MN, when a motor-home burst into flames at a fueling station.

The RV was engulfed in flames when Proctor firefighters arrived at the Armor station just before 7 p.m. Monday. There was concern about possible explosions from the propane tanks on the rig as well as the gas tank.

However, there were no explosions, the fire was contained to the motorhome and no one was injured, according to the fire chief.

It's believed the vehicle may have had a transmission leak which sparked the flames. The Proctor Fire Department trains for scenarios like this and tonight that training paid off.

Firefighters cleared the scene in less than an hour.
