Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Radisson Hotel in Duluth will remain closed until May 1 after a water main break flooded the basement level of the hotel on March 13.

The water main break happened under Superior Street near the Radisson hotel and caused substantial flooding that affected the power supply to the hotel.

The hotel did relocate the majority of it's guests to other area hotels and is continuing to work with the Duluth hotel and business comunity in order to relocate future room reservations and banquet functions.

Hotel management is still working to determine the extent of the damage caused by the flooding and what equipment and work will be necessary in order for the Radisson to reopen.

JJ Astor's restaurant located within the Radisson will also remain closed until May 1.
