Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Northland school has found a fun way bring the community and their students together to celebrate being bully-free.
Raleigh Edison Charter School hosted its 7th annual Anti-Bully Free Block Party Thursday evening.
Students in all grades including, their parents, were invited to take part in the festivities... which included a teacher dunk, face painting, a barbecue and dancing.
Teachers say that the event is a way to represent the schools motto of being safe, being kind and being responsible and having positive interactions in and out of the classroom
"We try to build that in our classroom community. Being safe, being kind, being responsible community member in the classroom which then goes out into our school and also then out into our community," said Donna Nordstrom, Dean of Students .
Nearly six hundred people attended Thursday's event.
