Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A cabinet door or a broken chair may not be something to just throw away.

The Twin Ports ReStore used recycled items at their first "Art-Tastic" Social Friday night.

25 local artists and community members created repurposed masterpieces out of items such as floor tiles to birdbaths and even toilets.

The proceeds from the silent auction went to Habitat for Humanity.

"Part of the restore is reusing and recycling, so what's a better way to recycle stuff then to put an artistic turn on it?" said Teresa Baskes, the manager at ReStore.

The Twin Ports ReStore has planned another "Art-Tastic" social for the fall.
