Record rain prompts fear of flooding in International Falls

June 12, 2014 Updated Jun 12, 2014 at 9:03 PM CDT

International Falls, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Record breaking rains in International Falls prompted a call for volunteers to fill sandbags at the city beach Thursday afternoon.

The city's Fire Department says the sandbags will be loaded on to pallets and can be taken out to homes that may be in flood prone areas.

Several Red Cross members from the Twin Ports will join the effort Friday morning.
