Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The fate of Rockridge Elementary School in Duluth has been up for debate since it closed in 2011, but Monday's city council meeting officially changed the zoning of the school site.

City officials approved an ordinance last night changing the zoning from single-family residential, or R-1, to residential, or R-P.

There have been issues with selling the building in the past, and by rezoning, city leaders hope it becomes more appealing to buyers.
