Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- A trailer carrying donations for Savers, a thrift store in Duluth, caught on fire early this morning, destroying all the donations inside.

The Duluth Fire Department responded to reports of an electrical fire inside the trailer outside of the Savers building around 8:30 this morning.

The trailer was hauling the store's biggest load of donations- nearly eight thousand pounds of everything from books to shoes to clothing- that was damaged in the fire.

Ken Carr, Production Supervisor at Saver's in Duluth says the loss greatly impacts the store that relies solely on donations.

"That's just that much stuff we can't put out onto our floor and so anybody that can bring in donations we would greatly appreciate it," said Ken Carr, Production Supervisor.

If you wish to donate your items to Savers, you can find store hours here .
