Duluth, MN The Teen Challenge chapter here in Duluth held the second annual Walk for Hope.
The walk for hope is one of the Challenge Center's biggest fund raisers.
Volunteers say that nearly 200 people registered for the 5K.
The walk started at The Canal Park Inn on Lake Superior and followed the lake walk to Leif Erickson Park where the walkers turned around to finish back at the Inn.
Organizers say that having fund raisers like this are crucial to the survival of organizations like the Challenge Center.
"Our Campus works with adult men 18 to 70, and this is one of our many fundraisers that we have to make sure that we're able to keep the doors open and provide the programming that's needed for our men", said Teen Challenge Director of Development Keith Johnson.
Volunteers say that they were hoping to raise up to $20,000 dollars at the fund raiser today.
