Semi Truck Driver Cited After Hitting Snow Plow

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A semi-truck driver was cited for inattentive driving after rear-ending a snow plow on Interstate 35 this morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the accident just after 11 Friday morning right outside of Barnum.

The driver of the semi, 36-year-old Komlan Zipki, of Missouri, crashed into the back of a Minnesota Department of Transportation snow plow that was clearing the left lane.

Both the semi and the plow truck were damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the plow truck, 56-year-old Greg Lennartson of Cloquet, sustained minor injuries but did not seek medical attention.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
