Washington, D.C. (NNCNOW.com) --- Sen. Amy Klobuchar will be featuring Betty's Pies from Two Harbors during her open house for Minnesotans traveling to see President Obama's inauguration.
“Betty’s Pies is one of the many family-owned businesses we have across Minnesota that support our communities and lift up local economies,” Klobuchar said. “I’m looking forward to serving their Great Lakes Fruit Pie from Two Harbors for our guests to enjoy at this open house.”
Klobuchar's open house will feature foods from all over Minnesota as she greets and welcomes them to the country's capitol.
Betty’s Pies began in 1958 when the owner Betty converted her father’s fish shack along the Stewart River into a café and began serving pies. Later she expanded the café by adding more seating and more pies to the menu, becoming the Betty’s Pies that residents of the North Shore frequent on their trips on Highway 61.
