U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will visit Duluth, Cloquet and the Iron Range on Saturday as part of an “Innovation Tour” to highlight the potential of economic innovation for long-term prosperity and job creation. Since Klobuchar began her Innovation Tour last week, she has visited 16 communities throughout Minnesota.
On Saturday morning, Klobuchar will visit the Duluth campus of the University of Minnesota, where she will tour science lab facilities and meet with students.
On Saturday evening, Klobuchar will be keynote speaker at the Annual Membership Banquet of the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce, which represents the cities of Eveleth, Gilbert, Mt. Iron, Virginia and surrounding business communities.
Also on Saturday, Klobuchar will be meeting with State Sen. Tom Bakk and she will tour the Sappi pulp and paper mill in Cloquet.
