Seven Nabbed for Illegal Drug Sales After Investigation

Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- After a four-month long investigation into the illegal sale of drugs in Cloquet, seven people have been arrested and charged.

The Cloquet Police Department, with the help from the Duluth Police Department, Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, conducted the investigations into the illEgal sales of prescription liquid Methadone, Methadone pills, Oxycodone, and the illegal drug heroin.

The following have been arrested and charged:

52 year old, Susan F. Topping of Cloquet, charged with 1st Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
41 year old Richard J. McDonald of Duluth, charged with 3rd Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
25 year old Desiree Frances Houle of Cloquet, charged with Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
29 year old Michelle Renae Granholm of Cloquet, charged with Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
36 year old Michael Lee King of Cloquet, charged with Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
21 year old Derrick Joseph Jason Holm of Cloquet, charged with Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
20 year old Shawn Elson Randall of Cloquet, charged with Degree Sales of a Controlled Subtance.

Throughout the investigation, an undercover agent from the Lake Superior Drugs and Violent Crimes Task Force began purchasing controlled substances from multiple suspects in the Cloquet area.

Deputies say the suspects had sold their personal prescriptions and/or illegally obtained prescriptions to the undercover agent.
