Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.COM)--- Shoppers spread holiday cheer, one random act of kindness at a time.
Volunteers stationed themselves at each entrance of the Miller Hill Mall in Duluth Saturday and encouraged shoppers to perform random acts of kindness.
Once a person did something nice for someone else, they wrote the act down on a piece of paper and turned it in to the "Life 97-point-3 radio station booth in the middle of the mall.
Organizers tallied each act and hoped to reach 1-thousand by the end of the day.
What we are hoping is that it becomes contiguous,” Nicole Mattews of Life 97.3 said. “Somebody opens the door for you, you open the door for somebody else. Somebody buys your coffee, you buy somebody's coffee. Or, you buy someone a gift card and just hand it to them."
Organizers don't want the random acts of kindness to stop with the event. People are encouraged to share their act of kindness on twitter under #duluthkindness.
