Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Two shots were fired outside of a Duluth bar early Sunday morning, and Duluth Police are searching for answers.

Police were called to the Twins Bar on East 4th Street on reports of a fight outside around 1:40 a.m.

A 73-year-old man working as a bar security guard told police he saw two people fighting and another man standing on the sidewalk with a gun in his hand.

When he shouted at the suspect to put the gun down, the suspect reportedly pointed it at him.

Police say, that’s when the guard fired a shot at the man.

The suspect ran north on 5th avenue east, stopped and reportedly raised the gun again at the guard, who then fired a second round.

The suspect ran off.

The guard told police he didn’t know if he hit the suspect and no evidence was found at the scene.

If anyone has information about this incident they are asked to call 911.
